Garden Fresh Lasagna

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb. lean ground beef
  2. 2 1/2 cups hot water
  3. 1/2 cup milk
  4. 1 box Hamburger Helper Italian Lasagna
  5. 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  6. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1 small tomato, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)
  8. 1 small green bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)
  9. 1 small zucchini, thinly sliced (1 cup)
  10. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
Directions:

Brown beef in a medium skillet; drain.

Stir in hot water, milk, uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper box), Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in tomato, bell pepper, zucchini and cheese. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; uncover and let stand for 5 minutes allowing sauce to thicken. Stir before serving.
