Beef Steak with Caesar Salad

Yield:
4 servings

Steak marinated in Caesar dressing pairs perfectly with the salad.

Ingredients:

  1. 4 filet of sirloin or center cut sirloin steaks, 1/2 inch thick
  2. 1 cup croutons
  3. freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  4. 1 package Romaine hearts (3 ct), large outer leaves and base removed, leaves washed, separated and patted dry
  5. 1 cup Caesar salad dressing, divided
  6. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  7. 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
Directions:

Place steak in a ziplock bag. Pour 2/3 of the salad dressing over the steak. Close the bag and place in the refrigerator for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Remove steak from marinade and discard the marinade. Grill or broil steak to your desired doneness and let rest for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl toss the lettuce with the remaining dressing. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and croutons and serve alongside the steak and halved cherry tomatoes.
