Cornmeal Mush

Yield:
8 to 10 servings

Ingredients:

  1. 4 cups water
  2. 1 cup cornmeal
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
Directions:

Bring 3 cups water to a boil. Combine remaining 1 cup water, cornmeal and salt; slowly pour into boiling water, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Cover; continue cooking over low heat 5 minutes; stir. Serve hot with milk and syrup or with margarine, salt and pepper.
