4 servings

Serve with steamed carrots and dinner rolls for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/4 cup honey
  2. 3 tablespoons water
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  4. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  5. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  6. 1 fully cooked ham steak (about 12 to 16 ounces)
  7. Fresh sage leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions:

Combine honey, water, dry mustard, ginger and cloves in a small bowl.

On top rack of preheated oven broiler, broil ham steak on both sides until lightly browned and throughly heated. (Or pan-fry ham steak on both sides in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.)

Place ham on heated serving dish; set aside. Cover to keep warm.

Add honey mixture to pan drippings and bring to a boil. Simmer 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Brush sauce over ham; serve remaining sauce separately.

Garnish with fresh sage leaves, if desired.
